Interbasin Transfer Certification Status for the Kerr Lake Regional Water System

The Kerr Lake Regional Water System has a grandfathered transfer amount of 10 mgd from the the Roanoke River basin to the Tar River and Fishing Creek River basins. In early 2004, scoping was begun to petition a transfer greater than this amount.

  • Status -- The Draft Environmental Assessment Scope was submitted for Deparment of Environment and Natural Resources review. Comments are currently being addressed by the applicant's engineering consultant.
