1.2 DESCRIPTION
1.2.1. ABSTRACT:
This data is a digitized layer created in Atlas GIS 2.0 which contains service area poligons for North Carolina water systems that have submitted approved Local Water Supply Plans that have been acknowledged as meeting the minimum requirements of G.S. 143-355(l) by DWR. DWR engineers have reviewed the information and verified that it is generally complete, consistant, and reasonable. However the information has not been field verified.
1.2.2. PURPOSE:
This data was created to assist governmental agencies and others in making resource management decisions through use of a Geographic Information System (GIS).
