Mission
To provide guidance as well as technical and financial assistance to units of local government and certain non-profit water corporations, in order to provide safe drinking water in the state of North Carolina.
Means
The Loans and Grants unit administers a number of funding programs for drinking water capital projects (including planning loans).
Application Procedures
Consult with the Loans and Grants engineer early in the process. Contact the engineer covering your area.
Applicants can apply for assistance at any time. However, the annual application deadline for all programs is September 30th. Applications accepted after this deadline will be considered for funding from the next fiscal year’s appropriations.
