Technical Assistance

The North Carolina Rural Water Association (NCRWA) has three groundwater technicians on staff who are available to assist Public Water Supply systems interested in developing a Wellhead Protection Plan. This service is provided at no cost to the system. If you have questions or would like more information, contact the NCRWA Office at 336-731-8589.

The Wellhead Protection Program (WHP) is a pollution prevention and management program used to protect underground sources of drinking water. The national WHP Program was established in 1986 by the Safe Drinking Water Act.
