Do you have any comments?The station has cooling towers and flue gas desulfurization systems that evaporate water. Outfall 002 is the retired ash basin outfall and is pumped to outfall 005 treatment starting in Apr 2020. Outfall 005 became the primary wastewater outfall beginning in May 2020. Outfall 104 is a constructed point-source seep discharges from the ash basin embankment. Due to excavation work in the area the seep had previously been captured and pumped to the ash basin. In February 2022 pumping stopped and the seep returned to the normal path to the Broad River. In 2023 GWCAP system installed and seep 104 flow was reduced to no flow in October. Outfall 106 is a constructed point-source seep discharges from the ash basin embankment. GWCAP Extraction Well System consists of 22 extraction wells installed in 2021 and 13 in May 2023. Extracted water is treated prior to discharge thru Outfall 005.
