We are unmetered so we estimate the use based on 100 gpd residential connection and 150 gpd commercial connection. (commercial connection is seasonal)

The high amount of unaccounted water is resulting from our aging distribution system. The water system was built when Fontana Dam was constructed in the 1940's. The only customer we have besides the 25 residential customers is Fontana Village Resort. It wasn't until 2011 that the town was formed. The resort owned the system until then. It is such a small system there aren't any funds available to redo the distribution system which is what is needed. We received a grant in late 2023 and are still in the process of approving an engineering firm. We are hopeful we can make some significant improvements with the monies received.
